three impossible nerdy crushes

Jay Smooth:

Jay Smooth runs the blog Ill Doctrine, where he video blogs about hip hop, politics, and culture. Not only does he have a sexy sexy voice, he is super smart and articulate. Plus he has a cat! I kind of want to just think up random things to toss at him to see what he would say about them. Like, "jeggings- go!" or "Harry Potter- go!", then just sit back and listen.

My favorite Jay Smooth video was one he did on the Eliot Spitzer scandal:

Feminist? Cute? Clever? Yes yes yes.

Date rating: Cocktails on the terrace then downtown for dancing.

Brett Erlich:

Brett Erlich works for Current TV, and does several things for them. However what I find most swoon-worthy is his series called "viral video film school" where he discusses trends on youtube. It makes me laugh every time, and he is just so darn cute when he is making them! Plus wikipedia tells me he is jewish- and I love those jewish boys. And he has a fancy pants degree, so the points triple.

My favorite Viral Video Film School was on financial vloggers:

Did you not laugh? You have no heart.

Date rating: sharing a pizza then making out in the park.

Ira Glass:

I mean, obviously. Ira, of course, hosts This American Life on NPR, of which I am a devoted fan. What I love about Ira is his sense of humor and over all adorableness to the point where you just want to put him in your pocketbook and hum along down the road. I also love when he talks about his early days in journalism and thought he knew everything- a college pseudo intellectual, because I relate. I would listen to him read the Uniform Commercial Code, as long as he laughed every once in a while.

My favorite This American Life, as of now, is called Recordings For Someone, and you can listen to it here

Date rating: take out chinese and documentaries on the couch
