I was a big fan of I Love Lucy when it used to come on nick at night when I was a teenager. Last year, Studio 360 did an amazing podcast about the show that I recommend to anyone:

I was always attracted to Lucy as a character and an actress when I was younger. She had everything! She was funny, always having a good time, daring, adventurous, and she had a hot foreign husband (so not 50s!).
Lucy once said "I'm not funny; what I am is brave." Sounds like she was a very smart cookie as well.
